People who have tile flooring in their houses wouldn’t have it any other way. Tile floors are naturally cool in the summer, don’t scratch like hardwood, and endure spills more readily than carpeting. They’re the perfect solution for kitchens, bathrooms, entryways and mudrooms, and living areas.
That said, tile flooring does require regular maintenance to stay looking elegant and gleaming. Over time, tile can collect layers of grime and dirt. These slowly build until each tile loses its shine and becomes dull and dingy.
The grout lines can also become filled with crumbs, spilled liquid, grease, dirt and more – and lighter grout color can quickly become stained, ruining the look of your perfect tile floor. Grout is porous, so unless it is sealed properly (and resealed at regular intervals), any spilled liquids or grease can seep into the grout and alter the color.
There are several ways to clean tile and grout. One is old fashioned elbow grease – scrub, scrub, scrub, and then scrub some more… then go back with a toothbrush and spend even more time on the grout lines. The results are hardly ever enough to justify the effort, and stains may stubbornly continue to remain.
The better solution is to call “the dry guys”! We can quickly and effectively clean your tile and grout until your floors sparkle like new again. Our three step process will restore your tile and grout, without a single sacrificed toothbrush, weary arm or sore knee.
We start by applying a mild alkaline cleaning solution to the surface of the floor, letting it cover the tiles and grout lines. This soaking will loosen any debris, including accumulated soil, grease, and contaminants. It will also start lightening stains.
Next, we bring in our special equipment. The tile cleaning tool has rotary brushes, which gently but thoroughly scrub the cleaning solution over the surface of the tiles and into each grout line, agitating away tiny particles of grease, grime, dirt, stains and other contaminants. The dirtied solution and all of the debris are sucked away through a vacuum port, leaving your tile and grout sparkling clean and shining.
Finally, we offer a sealant to protect your grout until the next cleaning. The sealant makes grout easier to clean with a daily mopping, providing a barrier between the floor and any spills; and it also helps prevent stains since it stops the grout from absorbing up every drop of dirty liquid.
Don’t spend hours on your hands and knees, scrubbing away with a toothbrush and some bleach. Call “the dry guys” and find out how terrific your floors can look without all the hassle!
